Hellooooo people!!!

It has been months since I’ve written a blog post, and although there is no decent excuse for this, I do have a few reasons for why I haven’t been able to keep up with the blog here recently.

I’ve been working at the university and substitute teaching and doing classes on top of tons of other things, and now that it’s Christmas break, I have time to relax and actually think about the blog. So anyway, welcome back!!!!

On Christmas evening, my sister and I (randomly) decided to watch Narnia: Prince Caspian. I always forget how awesome this movie is.

For those who might not know, Narnia was written by C. S. Lewis, and it basically represents Christianity through the use of symbolism. It’s actually ridiculous how thought-out the books are and how you can find a reference to the Bible in almost every little scene.

Anyway, my sister and I had reached the point in the movie where Lucy, who is the youngest sibling of the four, kept thinking she saw the lion Aslan (who represents Jesus Christ), but no one believed her because they did not see Aslan. As her siblings and the Narnians went into war, Lucy saw Aslan again and this time, she knew it was true. When she saw him, she went up to him and this was their conversation:

“Aslan" said Lucy "you're bigger"."That is because you are older, little one" answered he."Not because you are?""I am not. But every year you grow, you will find me bigger.

Did you catch the meaning behind this?

Lucy had some crazy faith in this movie. She felt and saw Aslan guiding her and her siblings, even when no one believed her.

Aslan didn’t get bigger, rather, Lucy’s perception of Aslan got bigger.

When you faithfully follow Christ, he will look a lot bigger to you than he did a few years ago.

The closer you move toward Jesus, the bigger he is going to get in your life.

I love this illustration. I think about this quote often, and when I heard it, I knew I needed to write about it.

The more I learn about God and His faithfulness and love and grace and power and glory, the more I am in awe.

I hope this is a moment when you start to realize just how big God is.
